We are seeking a fast-paced, friendly, and highly reliable Concession Worker to join our event operations and food service team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, portioning, and selling a variety of snacks, beverages, and quick-service food items to guests at stadiums, theaters, amusement parks, or convention centers. You will balance excellent customer service with tight operational speed, ensuring cash transactions are processed accurately while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards during intense rush hours. Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Cashiering: Greet guests warmly, take food and beverage orders accurately, and process payments using Point of Sale (POS) terminals, handling cash and cards responsibly.

Quick-Service Food Preparation: Operate commercial concessions equipment to prepare simple menu items such as popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, and cotton candy according to recipe standards.

Beverage Dispensing & Portioning: Pour and serve draft beers, fountain sodas, frozen slushies, and hot drinks, ensuring correct portion controls and complying with legal age-verification laws for alcohol sales.

Inventory Replenishment: Monitor stock levels of snacks, condiments, cups, and packaging materials; restock display shelves and cold beverage coolers constantly ahead of event peaks.

Station Sanitation & Food Safety: Clean and sanitize countertops, food prep surfaces, and point-of-sale areas continuously throughout the shift, adhering strictly to local health department codes.

Equipment Maintenance & Cleaning: Wipe down, dismantle, and deep-clean concession machinery (e.g., popcorn poppers, hot dog rollers, soda valves) at the end of every event or shift closeout.

Waste Management & Floor Upkeep: Empty trash bins behind the counter, sweep and mop the concession stand floor, and ensure the surrounding guest pickup areas remain tidy and free of spills.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; holding a valid Food Handler Certification and responsible alcohol service training (e.g., ServSafe, TAPS) is highly valued.

Experience: 0–2+ years of experience in quick-service restaurants, retail cashiering, event hospitality, movie theater concessions, or general customer service.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in operating digital touch-screen POS systems, processing credit card transactions, and calculating cash change accurately without delay.

Basic mechanical aptitude to safely operate, troubleshoot, and clean standard commercial snack-food preparation appliances.

Solid understanding of food safety principles, including temperature logging, safe food holding zones, and avoiding cross-contamination.

Personal Attributes:

Excellent physical health and stamina; capable of standing in a compact workspace, bending, lifting up to 30–40 lbs (such as syrup boxes or ice bags), and moving quickly for entire shifts.

A warm, highly articulate, and cheerful personality, with the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor when serving long lines of eager guests.

Highly reliable, early to event call times, and exceptionally flexible to work non-traditional hours, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Sharp situational awareness to manage queue lines efficiently and spot potential underage alcohol violations or safety hazards instantly.
