We are seeking a polished, enthusiastic, and highly organized Retail Support Associate to join our merchandise and guest services team within our premium arts and entertainment venue. In this role, you will be the brand ambassador for our physical storefronts, gift shops, or specialty merchandise kiosks during concerts, theater productions, gallery exhibitions, and festivals. You will balance a warm, engaging storytelling approach with a fast-paced retail work ethic, helping guests find unique memorabilia while ensuring inventory layouts are perfectly staged and transaction lines move seamlessly. Key Responsibilities
Guest Engagement & Consultative Selling: Greet venue visitors warmly, actively share insights about artists, performers, or current show concepts, and recommend curated memorabilia, program books, or limited-edition artwork.

Transaction Processing & Cashiering: Process sales accurately and rapidly using digital Point of Sale (POS) terminals, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments responsibly while upselling promotional bundles.

Visual Merchandising & Staging: Arrange, dust, and restock display shelves, clothing racks, and glass display cases according to venue aesthetic guidelines to maximize visual appeal and driving impulse purchases.

Inventory Auditing & Tracking: Receive incoming merchandise shipments, verify item counts against packing manifests, apply price tags or security sensors, and report stock shortages to supervisors.

E-Commerce Fulfillment Support: Help package and organize online souvenir orders or pre-ordered event merchandise for guest pickup at designated lockers or venue counters.

Shop Maintenance & Cleanliness: Sweep, mop, and wipe down retail kiosks, fitting rooms, and counter surfaces constantly throughout the shift to ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.

Shift Reconciliations & Closeouts: Balance the cash drawer accurately at the end of every event or shift, documenting any financial discrepancies and packing up mobile kiosks securely.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; coursework or a degree in Arts Administration, Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, or Hospitality is a plus.

Experience: 0–2+ years of experience in retail sales, venue merchandise operations, quick-service hospitality, customer relations, or gallery reception roles.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in operating digital touch-screen POS systems, barcode scanners, card readers, and basic inventory tracking apps on tablets.

Solid mathematical skills for executing manual price calculations, processing promotional discounts, and handling cash exchange without delays.

Familiarity with standard retail security protocols, loss prevention measures, and inventory storage procedures.

Personal Attributes:

Excellent physical health and stamina; comfortable standing for full 8–10+ hour shifts and lifting inventory boxes up to 30 lbs.

An articulate, highly engaging, and enthusiastic storyteller who loves interacting with diverse demographics of art enthusiasts and tourists.

Highly reliable, punctual, and flexible to work event-driven schedules, including late nights, weekends, and public holiday performance windows.
