We are seeking a physically robust, highly coordinated, and safety-conscious Stagehand to support our live events, theater productions, and concert operations. In this role, you will be the behind-the-scenes force responsible for executing the structural setup, rapid structural changes, and teardown of stage environments. You will balance intense physical stamina with mechanical precision, working under the direct guidance of stage managers and technical directors to ensure that lighting, sound, rigging, and scenic elements function flawlessly. Key Responsibilities
Load-In & Structural Assembly: Load and unload production trucks; unpack and assemble heavy stage decking, trusses, aluminum scaffolding, backdrops, and video walls safely.

Technical Crew Support: Assist audio engineers, lighting technicians, and camera crews with laying down power cables, positioning microphones, hanging fixtures, and securing cable mats.

On-Cue Scenic Shifts: Execute rapid, coordinated set piece movements, prop changes, and curtain operations in complete silence and dim lighting during live show transitions.

Basic Rigging & Fly System Operation: Assist certified riggers in attaching lines, hoisting cables, counterweight operations, and securing overhead scenic elements according to strict safety regulations.

Prop & Wardrobe Maintenance: Organize, repair, and position show props backstage; assist performers with quick wardrobe changes or mic handoffs near the wings when required.

Post-Show Strike & Inventory: Dismantle all stage structures post-event (striking the set); clean, wipe down, and inventory all corporate tools and technical gear before packing them securely back into road cases.

Backstage Hazard & Safety Management: Maintain a spotlessly clean, organized, and hazard-free backstage area, ensuring emergency exit paths and fire lanes are never blocked.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; vocational certifications in electrical safety, basic rigging, or OSHA compliance are highly preferred.

Experience: 1–3+ years of experience working as a stagehand, crew helper, event technician, or audio-visual support hand in theater, live concerts, or corporate events.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in utilizing standard hand and power tools (e.g., impact drivers, wrenches, mallets, tape measures).

Solid understanding of standard audio/video/lighting cable types (XLR, HDMI, SDI, PowerCON) and proper over-under cable coiling techniques.

Familiarity with theatrical terms, backstage communication etiquette, and proper 2-way radio protocols.

Personal Attributes:

Exceptional physical stamina, strength, and agility; capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs repeatedly, climbing ladders, and working in high overhead structures.

Highly reliable, punctual, and disciplined, with a proven track record of arriving early to demanding call times.
