We are seeking a diligent, detail-obsessed, and analytical Auditing Clerk to ensure the integrity of our financial records and internal processes. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing transactions, verifying accuracy against supporting documentation, and identifying discrepancies that may indicate errors or potential fraud. Key Responsibilities
Transaction Verification: Examine daily financial records, vouchers, and invoices to ensure all entries are accurate, authorized, and supported by appropriate documentation.
Discrepancy Resolution: Identify inconsistencies in financial data, investigate the root cause, and work with relevant departments to rectify errors in a timely manner.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all financial activities and record-keeping practices adhere to established company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Process Documentation: Maintain precise logs of audit findings, prepare detailed reports for management, and track the status of corrective actions.
Internal Audit Support: Assist in preparing for external and internal audits by organizing documentation, pulling samples for review, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
Inventory & Asset Control: Perform periodic checks on inventory records and asset registers to ensure physical counts align with system data.
Process Improvement: Provide feedback to management regarding recurring errors or inefficient workflows, contributing to the development of stronger internal controls.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; certification in auditing or bookkeeping is a plus.
Experience: 2–4+ years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a high-volume financial data entry role.
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in Excel (for data analysis and comparison) and experience with ERP/Accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
Strong understanding of financial document workflows (invoices, purchase orders, receipts).
Ability to handle large datasets with high precision.
