We are seeking a welcoming, efficient, and professional Hotel/Motel Desk Clerk to be the face of our establishment. In this role, you will manage guest arrivals and departures, handle reservation inquiries, and ensure that every guest has a seamless and comfortable stay. If you possess exceptional customer service skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to manage administrative tasks with accuracy, this is an outstanding opportunity to support our guest experience and contribute to the positive reputation of our property.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services: Provide a warm, efficient welcome to guests, managing the check-in and check-out processes, issuing room keys, and assisting with luggage or transportation arrangements.
Reservation Management: Handle room reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems, ensuring accuracy in room types, rates, and special requests.
Administrative Accuracy: Maintain precise records of room availability, guest registration data, and financial transactions using our Property Management System (PMS).
Financial Processing: Accurately handle payments, process credit card authorizations, maintain a balanced cash drawer, and prepare daily end-of-shift reports.
Problem Resolution: Actively listen to guest concerns or complaints, resolve issues with patience and professionalism, and escalate complex matters to management when necessary.
Communication: Serve as an information hub for guests, providing details on hotel amenities, local attractions, and services while coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to address room needs.
Safety & Security: Follow strict security protocols, including guest verification, room key management, and emergency response procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests and staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; previous hospitality or customer service training is highly preferred.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in front desk operations, hospitality, or a high-volume customer service role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS), online booking engines, and basic office software.
Strong aptitude for handling multi-line phone systems and processing financial transactions.
Experience with high-volume data entry and attention to document security.
