JOB DESCRIPTION: Customs Clearance Specialist (Nhân viên Thủ tục Hải quan)
Job Responsibilities
Customs Declaration: Prepare and submit customs declarations accurately and timely using electronic customs systems (VNACCS/VCIS).

Document Preparation: Review, verify, and prepare all necessary shipping and trade documents (Invoices, Packing Lists, Bill of Lading, C/O, Purchase Orders) to ensure they meet customs and regulatory requirements.

Field Operations: Work directly with customs officers at ports, airports, or industrial zones to handle inspections, clearance procedures, and resolve any issues arising during the customs process.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on current import-export laws, tax regulations, HS code classifications, and trade policies to ensure full compliance and avoid penalties.

Duty & Tax Management: Calculate import duties, VAT, and other applicable taxes accurately; coordinate with the finance department for payment to ensure timely release of goods.

Issue Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve bottlenecks such as cargo holds, document discrepancies, or inspection delays by communicating effectively with customs authorities and clients.

Liaison: Maintain strong professional relationships with customs authorities, port/warehouse operators, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics operations.

Reporting & Archiving: Maintain accurate digital and physical records of all customs declarations and related documents for audit purposes; generate reports on clearance performance.

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Foreign Trade, Economics, or related fields.

Experience: 1–3 years of experience in customs clearance, import-export operations, or as a customs broker agent.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in VNACCS/VCIS software and customs declaration procedures.

Strong knowledge of HS codes, Incoterms, and tax/tariff regulations.

Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for data management).

Communication: Effective negotiation and communication skills to deal with customs officials and resolve problems on-site.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to verifying data and documentation to minimize risks of customs fines or delays.

Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently and under high pressure, especially when dealing with urgent shipments or on-site inspections.

Language: Professional proficiency in English (especially for reading and understanding international trade documents).
