Job Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and professional Lecturer in Business English to join our language faculty. Your primary objective is to bridge the gap between general English proficiency and the high-stakes communication required in the corporate world. You will empower students—ranging from ambitious university students to working professionals—to master the language of negotiation, persuasion, presentation, and formal correspondence, ensuring they can compete confidently in a globalized business environment.
Job Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery: Lead courses focused on business-specific communication, including Email Writing, Presentation Skills, Meeting Facilitation, Negotiation, Report Writing, and Cross-Cultural Communication.
Curriculum Development: Design an industry-aligned curriculum that incorporates current business case studies, real-world white papers, financial reports, and modern professional etiquette.
Applied Simulation: Facilitate "Corporate Labs" where students participate in mock board meetings, mock negotiations, and pitch presentations to receive direct, constructive feedback on their professional communication style.
Professional Coaching: Provide one-on-one or group coaching on refining tone, enhancing vocabulary for professional settings, and improving clarity and conciseness in high-pressure communication.
Digital Tools Integration: Utilize modern collaborative technologies (e.g., MS Teams/Slack simulations, professional LinkedIn networking exercises, and virtual meeting platforms) to replicate the modern digital workspace.
Industry Engagement: Invite guest speakers from the local business community to share insights on language requirements in their specific industries, ensuring students understand the practical application of their studies.
Assessment & Evaluation: Develop professional-grade assessments that focus on the ability to handle real-world business scenarios rather than traditional grammar tests.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Business, or Education; CELTA, TESOL, or a Business English teaching certification is highly preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of teaching experience, with a proven track record in Business English or Corporate Communication training. Professional experience in a corporate environment is a significant asset.
Language Proficiency: Native or near-native English fluency with a command of both formal and idiomatic business English.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with professional communication standards (AP Style, standard email etiquette).
Ability to use modern instructional technology (LMS, virtual meeting software).
Soft Skills:
Professional Presence: Ability to act as a role model for professional behavior, dress, and communication style.
Business Acumen: A solid understanding of basic business concepts (marketing, finance, operations) to ensure language instruction is contextually relevant.
Analytical Feedback: Ability to pinpoint specific language weaknesses that impact professional credibility and provide structured paths for improvement.
Adaptability: A flexible approach that allows for tailoring instruction to the specific industries of the students (e.g., Tech vs. Finance vs. Hospitality).
Benefits
Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary package with potential for corporate training premiums and consulting opportunities.
Professional Development: Support for business-related certifications, attendance at academic or professional communication conferences, and curriculum development grants.
Dynamic Environment: Opportunities to teach in a variety of settings, from university classrooms to executive training workshops.
Comprehensive Benefits: Full insurance coverage, annual leave, and other benefits in accordance with local labor laws.
Career Growth: Defined pathways toward Senior Corporate Trainer, Curriculum Director, or Business Communication Specialist.
