Job Overview
We are seeking an integrative Lecturer in Business Administration and Technology to join our faculty. In today’s global economy, the lines between management science and technical innovation have blurred. You will serve as a crucial instructor who teaches students how to harness technology—such as data analytics, AI, cloud systems, and digital platforms—to drive competitive business advantage, optimize operations, and lead effective organizational change.
Job Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery: Lead courses that bridge the gap between management and tech, such as Management Information Systems (MIS), Digital Business Strategy, Tech-Driven Project Management, Data-Driven Decision Making, and Innovation Management.
Curriculum Development: Design a future-ready curriculum that equips business students with technical literacy and tech students with business acumen, covering modern topics like Digital Transformation, FinTech, E-commerce, and AI for Business.
Hands-on Mentorship: Oversee applied projects where students use business software, ERP platforms, and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce) to solve real-world organizational challenges.
Research & Scholarship: Conduct scholarly research on the impact of technology on business models, organizational behavior in digital workplaces, or the ethics of AI in management.
Industry & Academic Engagement: Foster relationships with industry leaders to bring real-world case studies into the classroom and facilitate student placements and internships.
Capstone Advising: Guide students in capstone projects that require a dual focus: creating a viable business model supported by a scalable, innovative technological solution.
Departmental Collaboration: Participate in curriculum accreditation, faculty committees, and initiatives that promote the interdisciplinary identity of the department.
Job Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Systems, Technology Management, or a related field (a PhD is strongly preferred).
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in management consulting, tech product management, business operations, or IT strategy, combined with prior experience in teaching or training.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with business enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, or Supply Chain Management software).
Working knowledge of data analysis/visualization tools used in business environments.
Understanding of the business implications of emerging technologies (Cloud, AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity).
Soft Skills:
Translational Ability: Exceptional skill in teaching technical concepts to business audiences and business strategy to technical audiences.
Systems Thinking: Ability to view businesses as complex ecosystems that depend on the seamless integration of technology and human strategy.
Leadership/Influence: Capacity to inspire students to lead digital transformation efforts within future organizations.
Adaptability: A commitment to keeping pace with the rapid cycle of technological disruption in the business world.
Benefits
Competitive Compensation: Attractive academic salary package with potential for research and consulting funding.
Professional Development: Support for executive education programs, industry certifications, and attendance at premier business/tech conferences.
Collaborative Environment: An interdisciplinary department that encourages work at the intersection of management, economics, and engineering.
Comprehensive Benefits: Full insurance coverage, academic leave, and retirement benefits in accordance with local labor laws.
Career Growth: Defined pathways to Tenured Associate Professor, Program Director, or Department Chair.
