Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and forward-thinking Lecturer for the Department of Digital Technology to join our faculty. Job Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery: Lead courses across the digital spectrum, including Digital Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Web & Mobile Technologies, Digital Strategy, and emerging tech modules (such as AR/VR or Web3).
Curriculum Innovation: Develop and maintain a dynamic curriculum that stays ahead of industry trends, focusing on the intersection of user experience (UX), technical feasibility, and business impact.
Hands-on Lab Leadership: Facilitate design-and-build workshops where students apply agile methodologies to create digital prototypes, web applications, or interactive user experiences.
Capstone Mentorship: Supervise student capstone projects, guiding them through the full lifecycle of digital product creation—from conceptualization and user research to deployment and iteration.
Research & Scholarship: Engage in active research in digital innovation, human-technology interaction, or the societal impacts of digital transformation, contributing to the academic discourse.
Professional Development: Host seminars or facilitate partnerships with industry leaders to expose students to real-world digital ecosystems, design systems, and modern collaborative development tools.
Departmental Collaboration: Contribute to faculty committees, program accreditation, and departmental growth initiatives, ensuring our graduates are competitive in a digital-first global market.
Job Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Digital Technology, Computer Science, Interaction Design, or a related field (a PhD is highly preferred).
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in digital product development, UI/UX design, technical consulting, or software/digital innovation, combined with teaching experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in modern digital development stacks (e.g., React/Next.js, Tailwind, modern CMS/headless frameworks).
Strong understanding of UI/UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) and design thinking methodology.
Experience with the technical side of digital platforms, including API integration, cloud services (AWS/Firebase), and data-driven product analytics.
