We are seeking a precise, observant, and technically skilled Surveyor to play a critical role in the planning and execution of land development and construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring and mapping the earth’s surface to determine precise land boundaries, topographical features, and site elevations. You will serve as the primary source of truth for engineering and architectural teams, providing the accurate spatial data necessary to ensure that infrastructure and buildings are constructed in the correct locations and to the proper grade. Key Responsibilities
Field Surveying: Conduct detailed site surveys using advanced equipment—including total stations, GPS/GNSS units, and digital levels—to establish site control, boundary lines, and topography.

Data Processing: Download and process raw field data into CAD software, creating accurate topographic maps, site plans, and digital elevation models (DEMs).

Boundary Research: Research legal records, property deeds, and historical survey data to verify ownership lines and resolve boundary disputes.

Construction Staking: Perform construction layout staking, providing precise markers and points for contractors to follow during site clearing, foundation pouring, and infrastructure installation.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all surveys are conducted in accordance with state and local surveying regulations, professional standards, and land use ordinances.

Technical Reporting: Prepare comprehensive survey reports, plats, and legal descriptions for use by government agencies, clients, and design teams.

Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate survey instruments and field vehicles to ensure peak performance and measurement accuracy.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, or Civil Engineering Technology. Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure or licensure candidacy is highly preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in land surveying, geomatics, or construction layout is required.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in operating survey equipment: total stations, data collectors, high-accuracy GPS/GNSS systems, and laser scanners.

Proficiency in survey-specific software (e.g., Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or Carlson Survey).

Strong mathematical skills, particularly in trigonometry and geometry, as they apply to spatial measurement.
