JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager
Job Responsibilities
Strategy & Policy: Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, or industry-specific certifications).
Quality Oversight: Oversee both QA (preventive processes/systems) and QC (detective testing/inspections) departments to ensure all products meet strict quality standards and customer specifications.
Compliance & Auditing: Conduct regular internal audits, manage external audits (customer/third-party), and ensure full regulatory compliance across all production stages.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead investigations into product defects, customer complaints, or process failures. Implement robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
Vendor Quality Management: Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers; conduct supplier audits to ensure incoming raw materials meet company quality benchmarks.
Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization by promoting "Quality at the Source" and driving continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control).
Reporting: Analyze quality data/trends and present detailed reports to senior management regarding quality KPIs (e.g., scrap rates, rework costs, yield rates).
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and train the QA/QC team to ensure high performance, professionalism, and adherence to safety protocols.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black/Green Belt, Certified Quality Manager - CQM) are highly preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in QA/QC management within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, ISO standards).
Regulatory Familiarity: Deep knowledge of relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and local/international legal requirements.
Analytical Skills: Excellent data analysis skills; ability to interpret technical reports and identify trends to make informed decisions.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to handle external audits and work with cross-functional departments (Production, Procurement, R&D).
Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a technical team in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
