We are seeking a hardworking, fast-paced, and highly reliable Dishwasher and Kitchen Helper to support our back-of-house culinary operations. In this role, you will be the backbone of the kitchen's efficiency, responsible for maintaining a steady flow of clean dishes, utensils, and cookware while assisting the prep team with basic kitchen duties. Key Responsibilities
Dishwashing & Sanitization: Wash, sanitize, and dry all plates, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing machinery or traditional multi-compartment sink methods.

Kitchen Ware Logistics: Sort and organize clean dishes and cookware, returning them promptly to their designated storage shelves or prep line stations for immediate reuse.

Basic Ingredient Preparation: Assist line cooks and chefs with basic food prep tasks during slower periods, such as washing produce, peeling vegetables, and portioning ingredients.

Waste Management & Disposal: Empty kitchen trash bins, compost containers, and recycling boxes frequently throughout the shift, replacing liners and wiping down receptacles.

Janitorial Upkeep: Sweep, mop, and scrub kitchen floors, mats, walkways, and loading dock areas to eliminate grease buildup and prevent slip-and-fall accidents.

Chemical & Station Safety: Safely operate, clean, and maintain the dishwashing machine, monitoring water temperatures and chemical chemical levels (detergent, sanitizer) to meet health codes.

Closing & Deep Cleaning: Participate in nightly kitchen closeouts by cleaning deep fryers, wiping down hoods, sanitizing work tables, and ensuring the dish pit is left spotless.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; holding a valid Food Handler Certification (e.g., ServSafe) is highly preferred.

Experience: 0–2 years of experience working as a dishwasher, kitchen hand, utility worker, or general cleaner in a restaurant, hotel, or commercial catering environment.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with operating commercial high-temperature or chemical dishwashing machines and automated glass washers.

Basic knowledge of proper kitchen sanitation chemical dilution ratios, safety data sheets (SDS), and safe handling of sharp objects (knives, broken glass).

Understanding of basic kitchen workflow and the importance of preventing cross-contamination between raw food and clean dishes.

Personal Attributes:

Exceptional physical stamina and manual agility; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stretching, and standing in a wet, hot environment for full shifts.

Highly reliable, punctual, and disciplined, with a strong ability to remain focused and work quickly during intense rush hours.
