We are seeking a high-energy, polished, and highly adaptable Event Staff member to join our event operations and guest services team. In this role, you will be the front-line face and operational backbone of our events, responsible for executing a wide range of tasks across registration, guest relations, crowd management, and logistical setup. You will balance a warm, welcoming demeanor with a fast-paced work ethic, ensuring that conferences, exhibitions, weddings, or corporate gatherings run smoothly from doors-open to final tear-down. Key Responsibilities
Guest Reception & Registration: Greet attendees enthusiastically, manage check-in desks, scan digital tickets/QR codes, distribute badges or event programs, and accurately process on-site registrations.
Information & Concierge Services: Maintain an active, visible presence throughout the venue to answer guest inquiries regarding schedules, seating arrangements, amenities, and local transportation options.
Crowd Control & Queue Management: Organize and guide guest movement at entrance gates, seminar doors, and concession areas to prevent bottlenecks and maintain a safe, orderly flow of traffic.
VIP & Talent Escorting: Provide dedicated hosting and administrative support for keynote speakers, performers, or VIP clients, ensuring they are escorted to green rooms and stage areas precisely on schedule.
Venue Staging & Resetting: Assist the production team in setting up, arranging, and rearranging event furniture, directional signage, decorative elements, and banquet layouts according to the floor plan.
Session Logistics Support: Monitor assigned rooms or halls during active sessions, managing door access, distributing microphone runners for Q&A segments, and assisting technical crews with basic needs.
Post-Event Strike & Wrap: Participate in the swift and organized dismantling of event layouts, packing corporate assets, banners, and materials securely into inventory containers post-show.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; coursework or a degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Communications, or Public Relations is highly preferred.
Experience: 0–2+ years of experience in event operations, customer-facing retail, hospitality, guest relations, or promotional brand ambassador roles.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating handheld digital ticket scanners, scanning software, and basic Point of Sale (POS) or registration terminals.
Ability to read, interpret, and quickly memorize complex venue layouts, seating charts, and rapidly changing event schedules.
Basic knowledge of public crowd safety protocols, queue management techniques, and emergency evacuation guidelines.
Personal Attributes:
Excellent physical health and endurance; comfortable standing, walking long distances across massive venues, and remaining highly energetic for full 10–12+ hour shifts.
A warm, articulate, and highly professional demeanor, with a natural talent for staying calm, polite, and patient when handling difficult or confused guests.
Highly reliable, early to call times, and exceptionally flexible to work non-traditional schedules, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Sharp situational awareness to spot logistics bottlenecks, safety hazards, or guest discomfort instantly and address them proactively.
