We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and leadership-driven Public Area Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all public spaces in our hotel, resort, commercial building, or facility. In this key supervisory role, you will lead a team of cleaners and attendants, ensure exceptional standards in high-traffic public areas (lobbies, corridors, restrooms, pools, gardens, restaurants, and event spaces), and contribute to guest/resident satisfaction and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead, schedule, train, and motivate a team of public area attendants and cleaners; conduct daily briefings and performance evaluations.
Public Area Standards Maintenance: Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic presentation in all public zones through regular inspections, deep cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
Daily Operations Management: Oversee cleaning schedules, floor care, window/glass cleaning, furniture polishing, restroom sanitation, waste management, and pest control in public areas.
Guest & Stakeholder Interaction: Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints regarding public areas; coordinate with front office, engineering, and food & beverage teams for seamless service.
Quality Control & Inspection: Perform regular quality audits, checklist verifications, and implement corrective actions to meet brand/hotel standards and health regulations.
Inventory & Resource Management: Monitor and control cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemical usage; ensure cost efficiency and proper stock levels.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and sanitation protocols (including COVID-19 or industry-specific guidelines); report maintenance issues and maintain documentation.
Reporting & Improvement: Prepare daily/weekly reports on public area operations, team performance, and improvement suggestions to the Housekeeping Manager or Facility Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certificate or diploma in Hospitality Management, Housekeeping, or Facility Management is a strong advantage.
Experience: 2–5+ years in housekeeping or public area operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team leader capacity. Experience in hotels, resorts, malls, or large commercial facilities is preferred.
Technical & Practical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and green/sustainable housekeeping practices.
Ability to train staff on proper procedures and use of machinery (floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, etc.).
Familiarity with housekeeping management systems or software is a plus.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
High service orientation with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Physical fitness and willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
