We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and patient IT Support Specialist to manage the technology infrastructure of our busy dental clinic. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for all hardware, software, and networking needs, ensuring our clinical and administrative systems remain operational at all times. Key Responsibilities
Clinical System Support: Manage and troubleshoot specialized dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental) and digital imaging systems (e.g., X-ray sensors, intraoral cameras, 3D imaging).

Helpdesk Operations: Act as the first line of support for clinical and front-office staff, resolving issues related to workstation performance, printers, scanners, and peripheral connectivity.

Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain clinic network connectivity, server health, and Wi-Fi performance to ensure seamless data transmission and patient record access.

Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security protocols, including HIPAA-compliant data backups, antivirus/antimalware solutions, and restricted access controls for patient records.

Hardware Lifecycle Management: Handle the procurement, installation, and repair of workstations, tablets, and medical equipment interfaces to ensure equipment reliability.

Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external IT vendors, software providers, and dental equipment technicians for specialized repairs or software updates.

User Training: Provide one-on-one or small-group training for staff on new hardware/software tools to enhance clinic productivity and digital literacy.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; certifications like CompTIA A+ or Network+ are highly valued.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in technical support, ideally within a medical, dental, or clinical practice environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Windows OS environment and network troubleshooting.

Familiarity with dental-specific imaging software and practice management systems is a significant advantage.

Strong knowledge of HIPAA security standards and data privacy best practices.

Experience with remote management tools and cloud-based backup solutions.
