JOB DESCRIPTION: Scrum Master
Job Responsibilities
Facilitating Scrum Ceremonies: Organize and facilitate all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.

Removing Impediments: Proactively identify and remove blockers (technical, procedural, or organizational) that prevent the development team from achieving their Sprint goals.

Coaching the Team: Act as a servant-leader, coaching the development team and Product Owner on Scrum values, principles, and practices to foster self-organization and high performance.

Supporting the Product Owner: Assist the Product Owner in effective Product Backlog management, including refinement, prioritization, and maintaining a clear vision of the product roadmap.

Shielding the Team: Protect the team from outside interruptions and scope creep during the Sprint to ensure team focus and predictability.

Fostering Agility: Promote an Agile mindset across the organization, helping the team and stakeholders understand and embrace iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

Performance Tracking: Monitor team velocity, burn-down/burn-up charts, and other Agile metrics to provide transparency on project health and identify areas for process optimization.

Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve conflicts within the team, encouraging open communication, psychological safety, and a collaborative team culture.

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related fields.

Experience: 2–4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment.

Certification: Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is highly preferred.

Agile Proficiency: Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence teams without relying on traditional authority.

Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar Agile tools.

Soft Skills:

Communication: Exceptional listening, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

Emotional Intelligence: Ability to read team dynamics and adapt coaching styles to individual and team needs.

Problem-Solving: Decisive in addressing blockers and skilled in driving consensus.
