Check with seller First-Line Supervisors of Construction Trades

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and safety-driven Supervisor to oversee construction trade crews. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily activities of skilled workers, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. If you possess deep technical knowledge of construction methods, strong leadership abilities, and an unwavering commitment to site safety, this is an outstanding opportunity to lead high-performing teams and deliver successful building projects.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision: Lead, coach, and manage a crew of skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians); assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and address personnel issues.
Project Coordination: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to plan daily work schedules; ensure the necessary tools, materials, and equipment are available on-site.
Safety Enforcement: Maintain a "safety-first" culture by strictly enforcing OSHA regulations and company safety policies; conduct regular tool-box talks and site safety inspections.
Quality Control: Inspect work in progress to ensure it meets structural requirements, project specifications, and local building codes.
Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones against schedules and budgets; provide regular status reports to project managers and identify potential delays or cost overruns.
Conflict Resolution: Proactively resolve technical challenges, logistical bottlenecks, and conflicts between different trade crews to ensure smooth workflow.
Administrative Oversight: Maintain accurate daily logs of site activities, including labor hours, materials used, inspections, and any incidents or accidents.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training or an associate degree in construction management is a plus.
Experience: 5–10+ years of progressive experience in a construction trade, with at least 2–3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings.
Working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), and project management software.
Personal Attributes:
Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage a diverse, high-energy team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to juggle multiple project deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a physical, demanding job-site environment and communicate clearly with various stakeholders.
