JOB DESCRIPTION: Production & Material Planner
Job Responsibilities
Production Planning: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules (daily/weekly/monthly) based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and machine/labor capacity.

Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Analyze demand to determine material requirements. Issue purchase requisitions to the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging.

Inventory Optimization: Maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to minimize storage costs while avoiding stockouts.

Supply Chain Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure the production plan is realistic and achievable.

Capacity Analysis: Monitor and evaluate production capacity, identifying bottlenecks or resource gaps and proposing solutions to meet demand fluctuations.

Progress Tracking: Closely monitor production progress against the plan. Proactively adjust schedules in response to equipment downtime, material shortages, or rush orders.

Reporting: Prepare accurate production and inventory reports, analyzing KPIs such as Schedule Adherence, Inventory Turnover, and Material Shortage Rates for management review.

System Maintenance: Ensure all data in the ERP system regarding BOMs (Bill of Materials), lead times, and safety stocks is accurate and up-to-date.

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience: 2–4 years of experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is essential.

Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) for data analysis and modeling.

Analytical Ability: Strong mathematical and logical reasoning skills to handle complex scheduling and inventory calculations.

Communication: Excellent coordination skills to manage cross-departmental relationships and handle conflicts related to priority/scheduling.

Problem-Solving: Proactive mindset; ability to anticipate supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans quickly.

Organization: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
