We are seeking a Logistics & Distribution Coordinator (Food Bank Operations) to manage the "muck and gut" of our food distribution network. Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Warehouse Management: Oversee the intake, sorting, and storage of high-volume food donations, ensuring all items are categorized, inspected for quality/safety, and rotated to prevent spoilage.

Operational "Muck and Gut": Lead the physical cleanup and sanitation of warehouse spaces, cold storage units, and transport vehicles, maintaining rigorous health and safety standards.

Distribution Logistics: Coordinate the rapid preparation and dispatch of food packages, managing the movement of inventory from warehouse floor to distribution points or delivery vehicles.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict food handling, storage, and sanitation protocols (HACCP/local regulations) to ensure the safety of all distributed products.

Volunteer & Staff Oversight: Supervise and guide teams in the hands-on tasks of sorting, packing, and distribution, maintaining efficiency and safety during high-demand periods.

Data & Documentation: Maintain accurate real-time records of inventory levels, donation sources, and distribution metrics for stakeholder reporting and grant compliance.

Crisis Response: Mobilize resources and staff to handle surges in demand or emergency distribution events, maintaining composure and focus in high-pressure environments.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in food safety, logistics, or warehouse management are highly preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, food distribution, supply chain management, or high-volume charitable work.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in inventory tracking systems and basic office software.

Capability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, scales).

Strong knowledge of food safety standards, temperature control, and perishable goods management.
