JOB DESCRIPTION: Distributor Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Distributor Manager to oversee and optimize our distribution network. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with distributors, expanding our market reach, and ensuring that sales targets are met across all assigned territories.
Job Responsibilities
Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for distributors; build and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Sales Target Achievement: Develop and implement sales plans for each distributor to ensure regional and national revenue goals are consistently achieved.
Performance Monitoring: Track distributor performance (sales volume, inventory levels, market coverage) and provide regular reports to senior management.
Network Expansion: Identify potential new distributors or sub-distributors to increase market penetration and brand presence.
Operational Support: Assist distributors in managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring proper product availability.
Policy & Compliance: Ensure all distributors adhere to company policies, pricing guidelines, and trade marketing standards.
Trade Marketing: Collaborate with the Marketing team to roll out promotional campaigns and trade incentives through the distribution network.
Conflict Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve issues regarding territory disputes, pricing, or supply chain disruptions.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales, distribution management, or key account management within the FMCG, electronics, or retail industry.
Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead stakeholders at all levels.
Market Insight: Deep understanding of the local market, distribution landscape, and logistics operations.
Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently to visit distributors and monitor market conditions in assigned territories.
Mindset: Result-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.
