We are seeking a meticulous, analytical, and highly ethical Bookkeeper to oversee our financial records and ensure the accuracy of our fiscal operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing day-to-day transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. If you possess a sharp eye for detail, deep proficiency in accounting software, and a commitment to precision and confidentiality, this is an outstanding opportunity to maintain our financial integrity and provide the data-driven insights necessary for our continued operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management: Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring total accuracy.
Account Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure that all financial statements match actual balances and identify discrepancies immediately.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and Cash Flow reports.
Payroll & Compliance: Process payroll accurately and ensure all local tax filings, government remittances, and statutory requirements are met in a timely manner.
Expense Tracking: Monitor cash flow, manage vendor accounts, and track project-based expenses to ensure budget adherence.
Audit Preparation: Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records and documentation, working closely with external accountants or auditors during tax season.
Internal Controls: Enforce standard accounting policies and procedures, identifying potential financial risks and recommending improvements to enhance accuracy and security.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or bookkeeping certification) is a significant advantage.
Experience: 3–5+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience, with a proven track record of managing full-cycle bookkeeping.
Technical Skills:
Advanced mastery of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in managing multi-currency transactions and tax filing systems.
