JOB DESCRIPTION: Warehouse Operator
Job Responsibilities
Goods Handling: Execute the loading, unloading, and movement of goods within the warehouse facility, ensuring all items are handled safely to prevent damage.

Storage Management: Organize and store products in designated locations based on established layout plans (e.g., bin locations, rack levels) while ensuring clear labeling and accessibility.

Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and palletize orders according to picking lists or customer requirements to ensure on-time dispatch.

Inventory Accuracy: Participate in regular stock counts (cycle counts) and support inventory audits to ensure system records match physical stock on hand.

Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks (if certified) safely and efficiently, performing pre-shift inspections as required.

Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for quality defects, proper packaging, and quantity accuracy; immediately report any discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Facility Maintenance: Maintain high standards of warehouse cleanliness and organization (adhering to 5S methodology) by keeping aisles clear and managing waste disposal.

Safety & Security: Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, including wearing required PPE, using proper lifting techniques, and reporting potential safety hazards immediately.

Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent.

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a similar industrial environment is preferred.

Technical Skills: Basic ability to read and understand packing lists, shipping labels, and simple inventory management systems (WMS or handheld scanners).

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving heavy items regularly.

Attention to Detail: High accuracy in reading SKU numbers, counting stock, and verifying shipment information to minimize errors.

Attitude: Disciplined, hardworking, reliable, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Certification: A valid forklift operator’s license is highly advantageous.
