Job Overview
We are seeking an dynamic and industry-connected Lecturer for the Department of Marketing and Communication to join our faculty. In an era where the digital landscape is constantly shifting, your role will be to prepare students to navigate the complex world of modern consumer behavior, brand strategy, and multi-channel communication. You will be responsible for teaching the fusion of creative storytelling and data-driven strategy, ensuring our students graduate as versatile communicators and marketing professionals ready to lead in global markets.
Job Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery: Lead courses in Marketing Fundamentals, Digital Marketing, Strategic Brand Management, Consumer Behavior, Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), Public Relations, and Media Planning.
Curriculum Development: Design a contemporary curriculum that incorporates the latest industry trends, including AI in marketing, social media analytics, content strategy, and ethical communication practices.
Practical Lab Facilitation: Manage "Campaign Labs" where students use professional tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO platforms, social media scheduling tools, Adobe Creative Cloud) to develop, launch, and measure real-world marketing campaigns.
Industry & Lab Engagement: Foster partnerships with local and global agencies and brands, facilitating guest lectures, student internships, and live-client projects.
Research & Scholarship: Engage in research related to digital consumer behavior, influencer marketing, crisis communication, or the impact of emerging media on brand equity.
Capstone Mentorship: Supervise capstone projects where students develop comprehensive marketing plans—from market research and consumer insights to execution and performance analysis.
Departmental Collaboration: Contribute to curriculum reviews, accreditation, and marketing the department’s unique value proposition to prospective students.
Job Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field (a PhD is strongly preferred).
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, corporate communications, or public relations, combined with prior tertiary teaching or professional training experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in modern digital marketing platforms (SEO, SEM, Social Media Advertising).
Strong command of data-driven marketing tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, or CRM platforms like Salesforce/HubSpot).
Understanding of content strategy and digital storytelling principles.
