JOB DESCRIPTION: Warehouse Manager
Job Responsibilities
Operational Management: Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

Inventory Control: Manage accurate inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts and stocktakes, and implement measures to minimize shrinkage, damages, and discrepancies.

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate the warehouse team (warehouse staff, forklift operators, pickers). Manage work schedules, performance, and safety compliance.

Space Optimization: Design and maintain efficient warehouse layout (5S/Warehouse Management System) to maximize storage capacity and optimize the flow of goods.

Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the procurement, sales, and transportation teams to ensure timely supply of materials and on-time delivery of customer orders.

System Management: Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to track stock movements and generate operational reports.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, including fire safety, proper handling of hazardous materials, and safe operation of equipment (forklifts/pallets).

Cost Management: Monitor warehouse expenses, including labor costs, storage fees, and packaging materials, and identify opportunities to improve cost-efficiency.

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in WMS/ERP systems.

Advanced knowledge of inventory management techniques (FIFO, LIFO, JIT).

Ability to read and analyze logistics performance data (KPIs).

Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing, developing, and motivating teams.

Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve operational bottlenecks, resolve stock discrepancies, and handle urgent supply chain issues under pressure.

Organization: Excellent time management and attention to detail.

Safety Awareness: Knowledge of industrial safety standards and certification (forklift license is a strong plus).
