JOB DESCRIPTION: E-commerce Manager / Head of E-commerce
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Vision: Define and execute the end-to-end E-commerce strategy to accelerate digital revenue, expand market share, and enhance brand positioning across all digital touchpoints.
P&L Ownership: Take full accountability for the E-commerce Profit & Loss (P&L). Manage budgets, optimize cost structures, and drive sustainable profitability through rigorous analysis of margin contributors.
Commercial Leadership: Oversee the commercial performance of all sales channels (Marketplaces, Brand Website, Social Commerce). Set aggressive yet achievable sales targets (GMV/NMV) and drive initiatives to exceed them.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead and align cross-functional teams including Operations, Digital Marketing (Performance/Social), Creative, Merchandising, and Customer Experience to deliver a cohesive and high-converting customer journey.
Growth & Innovation: Identify emerging trends, platform features (e.g., Livestreaming, Affiliate models), and new technologies to pilot and scale. Drive innovation in loyalty programs and personalized customer experiences.
Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and manage high-level relationships with platform leadership (Shopee/Lazada/TikTok/etc. Regional/Country heads) to negotiate exclusive terms, strategic support, and early access to betas.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Champion a data-first culture. Utilize advanced analytics to derive insights into consumer behavior, product performance, and competitor benchmarking to pivot strategies in real-time.
Organizational Development: Recruit, mentor, and build a high-performance E-commerce department. Foster an environment of continuous learning, speed-to-market, and accountability.
Risk & Governance: Oversee compliance, brand integrity, and operational risk management. Ensure all digital activities align with broader corporate policies and legal standards.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Economics; MBA or relevant Master’s degree is highly preferred.
Experience: 7–10+ years of professional experience in E-commerce or Digital Retail, with at least 4–5 years in a leadership or management role.
Strategic Competencies:
Demonstrable track record of scaling E-commerce businesses or managing large-scale, multi-channel operations.
Deep expertise in the E-commerce ecosystem (Marketplace dynamics, D2C strategies, Supply Chain, and Fulfillment).
Advanced financial acumen: Experience managing multi-million dollar P&Ls and capital allocation.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and inspire large, diverse, cross-functional teams.
Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing C-level executives and external partners.
Agile, adaptive, and resilient mindset—highly capable of navigating complex, ambiguous, and fast-changing market landscapes.
Technical Literacy: Expert-level knowledge of E-commerce tech stacks, digital marketing automation, and advanced data visualization/BI tools.
