JOB DESCRIPTION: Market Research Executive
Job Responsibilities
Research Design: Assist in designing research methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative) to address specific business questions, such as market sizing, consumer sentiment, or product feedback.
Data Collection: Execute data collection efforts, including managing survey distribution, conducting focus group discussions (FGDs), coordinating in-depth interviews (IDIs), and overseeing field researchers.
Data Analysis: Clean, process, and analyze raw data using statistical tools or software. Extract actionable patterns, trends, and anomalies to turn data into meaningful business narratives.
Market Intelligence: Monitor and summarize market developments, including competitor strategies, emerging consumer trends, and regulatory changes within the industry.
Reporting & Presentation: Prepare clear, visually compelling reports and presentations (PowerPoint/Google Slides) that distill complex research findings into easy-to-understand insights for stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Strategy teams to ensure research goals align with business needs and that findings directly inform upcoming campaigns or product roadmaps.
Vendor Coordination: Act as a liaison with external research agencies, data providers, or recruitment firms to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Database Management: Maintain and update internal research databases, tracking brand health metrics and customer satisfaction scores over time.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or Social Sciences.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or data analysis (agency experience is highly valued).
Technical Skills:
Data Analysis: Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) is mandatory. Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a significant plus.
Research Tools: Experience with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Google Forms).
Analytical Writing: Strong ability to synthesize findings into concise, logical, and persuasive reports.
Soft Skills:
Analytical Curiosity: A natural desire to dig deep into "why" consumers behave the way they do.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data cleaning and reporting to ensure accuracy.
