We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Dishwasher to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our kitchen. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly to support the seamless flow of food preparation and service. Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitation: Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or manual sink systems.
Station Maintenance: Keep the dishwashing station organized, clean, and stocked with necessary cleaning agents, scrubbers, and drying racks throughout the shift.
Equipment Handling: Handle delicate dishes and heavy kitchen equipment with care to prevent breakage and ensure long-term equipment maintenance.
Kitchen Support: Assist with basic prep work or cleaning tasks as requested, such as emptying trash bins, sweeping floors, or scrubbing food preparation surfaces.
Inventory & Restocking: Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and returned to their designated storage areas to ensure kitchen staff have consistent access to tools.
Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, wearing protective gear, and maintaining non-slip work areas.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to manage the flow of dirty dishes and ensure a steady supply of clean service ware during peak hours.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: No formal education required; high school students or those seeking entry-level roles are encouraged to apply.
Experience: Entry-level position; no prior experience is required, though previous kitchen or cleaning experience is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Ability to learn and operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely.
Knowledge of basic sanitation standards and chemical safety procedures.
Capacity to maintain speed and quality in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Personal Attributes:
Highly reliable, punctual, and disciplined with a strong sense of responsibility.
Physically capable of standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting heavy loads (e.g., dish racks, pots, pans).
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
Positive team player who is willing to assist wherever needed in the kitchen.
